Narooma Online has been providing Web Hosting services to local businesses and individuals since 2002.

We use local expertise to maintain our web servers and mail servers, which are physically located in Dalmeny. We're resellers of web space for other companies and every dollar spent stays in town.

As of May 2007 we now have an office in Fyshwick ACT which houses our 4 separate backup servers, they are dedicated machines providing backup for our HTTP, POP3, SMTP, SQL and DNS machines.

We can host web sites for anyone from any country, that's the beauty of the internet, but we have chosen to provide services to businesses and individuals who are within the Eurobodalla region only.

From a simple one page web site to a full blown E-Commerce Online Shop, we have the hardware and the knowledge to get your business online.

Hosting Options

There are a number of options available to you. If you don't want to go to all the trouble of purchasing and registering a domain name or if you simply want to test the waters a little bit you should think about having a canonical name, that is yourbusinesname.naroomaonline.com.

All web hosting customers must agree to our Terms & Conditions. If something in there doesn't make sense, let us know and we will explain it.

Narooma Online Sub-Domain ( canonical name ) - $8.99 / Month

By creating a sub-domain you end up with a web site address like me.naroomaonline.com. This is a good option because the web address identifies you as a Narooma business and no domain registration is required. It is not part of Narooma Online, it is a seperate web site.

My Business Plan - $16.99 / Month

The "My Business Plan" is ideal as a launching point for small to medium businesses who want flexibility and features, without the costs associated with interactive and dynamic sites. Your web site has room to grow with potential for Online Shops, Shopping Carts, everything you need to make a few dollars.

The plan is much the same as the "My Business Plan" except it includes 2GB Data Transfer per month and is designed for high profile / high traffic sites. You can also have up to 3 sub domains, for example members.mydomain.com.au or support.mydomain.com.au etc.

Important Information

All web hosting options, except the "Premium Online Business" have a data transfer limit of 1 Gigabyte per month. The Premium Online Business plan includes up to 2 Gigabytes of data transfer per month.

Data Transfers are measured by the kilobyte for data out to the client machine, not data in. One Megabyte is 1024 Kilobytes. Data in excess of your allocation will be charged at a rate of $0.17 per megabyte. Unless your site is incredibly popular it is unlikely that you will exceed your monthly data transfer limit.

The costs outlined above do not include registration fees associated with registering a domain name. Registration of .com, .com.au, .org, .org.au generally costs between $20 and $30 per year with a minimum of 2 years in the first year of registration.

Web Space is calculated by the kilobyte, One Megabyte is the equivalent of 1024 Kilobytes. See the table below for more information on sizes. Excessive web space usage is charged at a rate of $0.50 per megabyte per month over and above your allocation.

Setup Fee

A one off "Setup Fee" of $25.00 applies to all new accounts. This fee covers the time involved in setting up your domain space, name server information, mail server configuration and various other tasks associated with web hosting.

Payment Information

All payments are made via direct bank deposit on or before your payment due date. Charges are allocated every 3 months. We will provide you with an appropriate Tax Invoice, which must be paid within 7 days. If we register a domain name on your behalf then your first invoice will include the cost of domain registration and the setup fee as outlined above. Your domain will not be usable until full payment is received.

Domain Transfers - 3 Months Free Hosting

If you wish to transfer your domain to be hosted here there is a charge of $39 (transfer fee to cover costs of name server changes etc) plus the first 3 months of hosting free. If your current registrar or host allows you to modify the IP address of your domain then the $39 charge does not apply as you can simply point your domain at our IP address.

Understanding Your Invoice

The invoice for services is paid in advance, generally 3 months at a time. The following item numbers and descriptions may appear on your invoice depending on the services you have chosen.
